Charm of the Iconic Wedding Date 11.12.13

No doubt whatever the date a couple chooses to tie the knot will be special and unforgettable for them. But, then there is certainly an extra charm that an iconic date can add to their nuptials. An iconic date is a patterned or sequential date, like 11/11/11, 12/12/12, and so on. These date are unforgettable not only for the couples but for their guests as well.

There is certainly a wave of people who are choosing such dates to get married, and the next sequential date to follow the line is 11/12/13. Yes, 11 December, 2013, a unique and sequential date that is bound to see a rush of weddings in India.

Indian couples opt for 11.12.13

Worldwide there has always been a rush of couples to choose a unique date like this to tie the knot, and Indian couples are not far behind in adding this extra excitement to their wedding. This is what Nehha Kalra and her fiancé Rohit felt when they were finalising their wedding date earlier this year. “As soon as we realised the craze and charm behind 11/12/13, we quickly finalised it for our wedding,” says Nehha.
Even Mr. B.K. Khatra felt the same when he was looking for an apt date for his son’s wedding. Mr. Khatra says, “I have only one son, and I want his wedding to be lavish and unforgettable. So, when someone told me about this dates I knew I had to choose something as attractive as this for his wedding.”

Wedding rush on this day

As it is, November to March are considered to be the most auspicious months for Indian marriages. And, with iconic dates to choose from, these digits have surely become an attraction for the soon-to-be married couples. All major cities are experiencing a booking rush for 11/12/13. Most wedding vendors in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Bhopal and more have been overbooked in advance. According to media reports, more than 10,000 weddings are scheduled to take place on this date. Well, it is a once in a lifetime date for sure, so the frenzy is quite understandable.

Flaunting the uniqueness of the iconic date

The couples too have left no stone unturned to show off their iconic wedding date to their guests. They have chosen to get the date printed in big, bold numbers on their wedding cards. Not only this, many have included the date as a part of their wedding décor too with calendars and projection lights displaying the sequential numbers.

Auspiciously speaking!

Even though these dates are iconic and spell ‘memorable’, they might not exactly be auspicious for all. According to the ace numerologist Sanjay B. Jumaani, "This date is governed by the number 2 (1+1=2) and if we add up the digits of the date, it comes to 11, which again adds up to 2. The number 2 is represented by the moon, which stands for romance and creativity. Coming to the date, if you are governed by the numbers 1 (born on 1, 10, 19, and 28), 2 (born on 2, 11, 20, and 29), 4 (born on 4, 13, 22, and 31) and 7 (born on 7, 16, and 25), the date is auspicious for you and you will have a successful marriage. I am discouraging people who are getting married on the date just because it's a special date. For people who are not born on these dates, getting married on 11/12/13 might cause restlessness in their marriage."
